For each engagement: the challenge, what we did, the outcome and the technologies involved.

Some of these engagements were delivered through partner firms, or by our consultants before they joined Nuntius.

  1. Financial market infrastructure2022–2025

    Euroclear

    Challenge

Migrate the Income Cash Reconciliation modules to CashV2.0 in a high-security, compliance-driven environment, with interdependent sub-systems and strict settlement-date deadlines.

    What we did

We architected the migration path, led the development team, set the coding standards and ran code reviews and release-readiness assessments. We also reverse-engineered undocumented legacy processes into technical specifications.

    Outcome

Functional parity across the sub-systems. Quality gates before each release reduced post-deployment defects, and the specifications removed a key delivery risk flagged in the project’s initial assessment.

  2. Insurance2019–2022

    AG Insurance

    Challenge

Deliver with an onshore/offshore team split between Brussels and Chennai, across a 4.5-hour time difference, without losing sprint velocity or quality.

    What we did

We led the distributed team, drove the adoption of Azure DevOps pipelines and cloud-based environment provisioning, and coached offshore developers on .NET practices, DDD and TDD.

    Outcome

Less manual deployment work and more consistent releases across Dev, QA and UAT, shorter build times, one branching strategy across repositories, and better code-review pass rates.

  3. Energy — transmission system operator2015–2017

    Elia

    Challenge

Belgium’s high-voltage grid operator needed new settlement modules for its ancillary services, each covering a distinct energy-reserve product with contract-specific penalties, while its legacy WCF/WPF back end was being rewritten.

    What we did

We implemented three settlement modules — importing operational data, computing settlements against contractual rules, and providing validation screens for Elia staff and external providers — and took part in the full back-end rewrite on Entity Framework 6.

    Outcome

Three settlement modules delivered in an Agile setting, and a back end with cleaner service layering in place of the legacy WCF/WPF stack.

  4. Parking & mobility2017–2018

    Interparking

    Challenge

Launch a web subscription platform in several countries, each with its own business rules.

    What we did

We built the MVP with Angular 5, .NET 4.5, Entity Framework 6 and SQL Server, designed from the start for localised business rules, then re-architected the back end along DDD lines (aggregates, repositories, domain events).

    Outcome

A working MVP and a more maintainable back end, ready for the European rollout.

  5. Smartcard personalisation2013–2014

    Giesecke+Devrient / Edenred

    Challenge

Giesecke+Devrient was closing its Belgian site. Edenred’s card personalisation line had to move to the UK without stopping live production.

    What we did

We ran the knowledge transfer and the production migration from Belgium to the UK, then re-developed Edenred’s processes on the UK Production System Controller, an SOA platform with end-to-end data encryption.

    Outcome

The line moved to the UK with zero downtime on the live production floor.

  6. Credit management2008–2012

    TCM Group

    Challenge

TCM needed a new application to run the core of its credit-management business: claims, contacts, invoices and payment handling.

    What we did

Working through SOBETI, we were involved from requirements to production deployment of the Credit Management Studio, a multi-tier .NET application built from scratch (WPF, WCF, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Spring.NET, NHibernate, Crystal Reports), plus a web portal to manage the company’s website content.

    Outcome

The Credit Management Studio went into production, carrying over the features of the first version and adding new ones on a maintainable framework base.

  7. Microsoft technology consulting2008–2012

    Avanade

    Challenge

Deliver Microsoft-platform projects for Avanade clients in four countries: Aircelle (Le Havre), Nayamed (Lausanne), ASML (Veldhoven) and SNCB (Brussels).

    What we did

We built WCF/WPF client-server applications, an ASP.NET e-commerce front end on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 fed by SAP for Nayamed, Windows Phone 7 prototypes and KPI dashboards.

    Outcome

Applications delivered through Avanade’s full development life cycle, from analysis to release, including the first release of the Nayamed web platform.

  8. Transport & logistics software2009–2016

Wolters Kluwer Transport Services / Teleroute

    Challenge

Keep the European ICT infrastructure and systems of a transport-software group running, for users served both on site and remotely.

    What we did

At Teleroute and Wolters Kluwer Transport Services (now Alpega), our consultants administered ICT systems and networks and took part in ICT projects; at Wolters Kluwer Transport Services they also maintained and operated the European infrastructure and supported end-user computing, on site and remotely.

    Outcome

  9. Public sector — archives2018–2019

Gacaca Archives digitisation (Government of Rwanda)

    Challenge

Digitise and index the archives of Rwanda’s post-genocide Gacaca trials for preservation and public access. Phase 5 inherited the deliverables of four earlier phases, with inconsistent records across sources.

    What we did

We audited the earlier deliverables, consolidated the requirements backlog and designed the strategy to merge the records into a normalised relational model. We also coordinated three organisations — AEGIS, INTRANDA and CNLG — through structured workshops.

    Outcome

A consistent data model that enables reliable search and indexing, and technical and archival objectives aligned across the three partners.

  10. Agriculture — online marketplace2018 – present

    Umuhuro

    Challenge

Give farmers a marketplace to showcase and sell their produce, and use the build as a training ground for junior developers in Kigali.

    What we did

We designed the end-to-end microservices architecture: .NET Core REST APIs, an Angular SPA, MongoDB for the catalogue, SQL Server for transactions and RabbitMQ for messaging, all in Docker. We set up Azure DevOps CI/CD and Git Flow from day one and ran hands-on workshops for a cohort of junior developers.

    Outcome

A containerised platform with a delivery pipeline from the start, and junior developers trained in .NET Core, Angular, TDD and clean code.
